From the high-altitude city of La Paz, we’ll take you on an unforgettable journey through the Altiplano and the vast Uyuni Salt Flats. Ride through the legendary "Death Road," climb to Bolivia’s highest city, explore Sucre (the real capital), and trace the Ché Guevara trail through the country's untamed heart. This adventure is a perfect mix of nature, culture, and motorcycle excitement, featuring both paved and unpaved roads (about 700km of gravel and dirt).

This tour is perfect for intermediate riders, with approximately 700 km of unpaved roads. While these aren’t enduro-style trails, some dirt experience is essential. Our guides will be there every step of the way, making this an adventure of a lifetime!

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive in La Paz, Bolivia

Welcome to La Paz! Upon arrival at the international airport (LPB), we’ll pick you up and take you to your hotel. Your guide will give a tour briefing and take care of the necessary paperwork. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city at leisure. Keep in mind the Altitude is 3,600 meters (11,800 feet).

Day 2 - La Paz to Sajama National Park

Distance: 300 km
Road Surface: 210 km paved, 90 km gravel

After your first morning in Bolivia, we’ll start the adventure by leaving La Paz behind and heading to the Sajama National Park. The paved roads lead us to the entrance of the park, with a touch of gravel as we approach the park’s stunning scenery.

Day 3 - Sajama to Tahua (Uyuni Salt Flats)

Distance: 440 km
Road Surface: 380 km paved, 60 km gravel

Riding through Bolivia's dramatic landscapes, we’ll journey towards the Uyuni Salt Flats. We’ll pass small villages, and the salt flats will begin to unfold as we reach the edge of this otherworldly location.

Day 4 - Tahua to Uyuni

Distance: 120 km
Road Surface: 30 km paved, 90 km gravel

Today we venture across the Uyuni Salt Flats, the largest in the world. Expect stunning landscapes as we ride across this vast expanse before making our way to the town of Uyuni. Finish the day with a well-earned meal from Chris & Sussy, known for serving the best pizzas in the southern hemisphere.

Day 5 - Uyuni to Potosí

Distance: 210 km
Road Surface: 190 km paved, 20 km gravel
Altitude: 3,800 meters to 4,100 meters

A scenic ride as we head towards Potosí, the highest city in the world. Enjoy the sights and learn more about the rich history of this incredible destination.

Day 6 - Potosí to Sucre

Distance: 160 km
Road Surface: 140 km paved, 20 km gravel
Altitude: 4,100 meters to 2,800 meters

From Potosí, we descend towards Sucre, Bolivia's constitutional capital. A relaxed ride with stunning views takes us to the UNESCO-listed city, rich in history and culture.

Day 7 - Sucre to La Higuera

Distance: 280 km
Road Surface: 145 km paved, 135 km gravel

Today, we venture to La Higuera, the location where Che Guevara met his end. Explore this historical site, and experience the stunning countryside along the way.

Day 8 - La Higuera to Aiquile

Follow the "Che Trail" as we head through remote Bolivia to the small town of Aiquile. This remote journey takes us deep into Bolivia's history and stunning landscapes.

Day 9 - Aiquile to Cochabamba

Distance: 180 km
Road Surface: 160 km paved, 20 km gravel

Our journey continues to Cochabamba, a pleasant city known for its mild climate and excellent cuisine. Take the time to explore or relax after the ride.

Day 10 - Cochabamba to Quime

Distance: 340 km
Road Surface: 300 km paved, 40 km gravel

Starting to ride more off-pavement, today’s route will take us through scenic landscapes with stretches of gravel roads that lead us to Quime.

Day 11 - Quime to Chulumani

Distance: 190 km
Road Surface: 190 km gravel

The adventure really begins as we ride entirely on gravel roads through stunning natural surroundings. The terrain becomes more challenging as we descend towards Chulumani.

Day 12 - Chulumani to Coroico

Distance: 135 km
Road Surface: 65 km paved, 70 km gravel

Today’s ride takes us to the base of the famous ‘Death Road’ in Coroico. This once-dangerous route will be one of the highlights of the tour as we ride through the jungle.

Day 13 - Coroico to La Paz (via Death Road)

Distance: 100 km
Road Surface: 60 km paved, 40 km gravel

The legendary ‘Death Road’ is finally here! Today we ride on this once-infamous route, with stunning views and thrilling twists and turns as we make our way back to La Paz.

Day 14 - Departure from La Paz

After an unforgettable adventure through Bolivia, it’s time to say goodbye. We’ll take you to the airport for your return flight home.
