Time for some laughs on a Friday....

Looking back at this photo from the recent AltRider "Conserve the Ride" event in Pennsylvania, I'm reminded of how often the question arises:  "Aren't those riding pants hot?"

Not trying to be too direct here, but BMW R1200GS Adventure owners need to buy these engine guards from Adventure Designs.  Might as well do so, cause you're going to pay for them one way or another!

Sometimes it's "the little things" that make us love our motorcycles.  Whether it's memories of an incredible adventure ride or how we've "fit" the motorcycle to our own ergonomic perfection, it sure feels great to be truly "connected" to the bike we ride.

In the spirit of Independance Day in the United States, RIDE Adventures is hereby announcing our first American motorcycle tour!

When we discover an excellent product, especially one that deals with motorcycle safety, rest assured we'll be letting you know about it.  In this case it's Rox Speed FX's handle bar risers for the BMW R1200GS Adventure (although they make risers that will work for Suzuki, Kawasaki, Triumph, KTM, and many other brands.)

I had stopped for lunch in this small village, and that lady and her kid asked to pose with my motorcycle so they could take a picture! I tried to fight them off, but they had me surrounded with fresh seafood and friendly people, and I barely made it out of there with any space left in my stomach.)

All sarcasm aside, I just had to comment because the question of "How dangerous is South America?" came up again yesterday.  (Our most recent blog post covered the same topic.)

I was in one of the BMW motorcycle dealerships in New Jersey, chatting with staff, and telling them how RIDE Adventures is doing motorcycle tours in South America. One of the staff introduced me to a police officer and customer who had just walked in to buy some parts for his bike.  The staff said "hey, this guy Eric works for RIDE Adventures, and does motorcycle tours in South America."

The officer's response:  "Hmm.....do your tours include an AK-47?"

The world of Adventure Motorcycle Riding is exploding these days, but not everyone can find an "adventure motorcycle" that fits their size or riding ability. 

If you haven't booked a winter motorcycle trip yet or some opportunity to eliminate those grey, sun-deprived days, you might be sorry once again...
